Dutch infantry officers spadroon M 1820 by H. d H. & Z. a Utrecht. (JP 71-101)

"Nederlands infanterie officiers degen M1820 van algemeen model" / Dutch infantry officers spadroon M1820. Excellent long straight bright single edged blade with floral motives in gilt and blue and marked with Dutch retailers name H. d H. & Z ( = Hendricus de Heus & Zoon. 1832-1868) on the one side and the residence à Utrecht on the reverse side. Beautiful brass handle with urn shaped pommel and folding hand guard with quillon with round crown shaped final. Excellent silver foil covered round single piece hilt. Folding clam shell crossguard. Very good black leather scabbard with brass mounts and two loose hanging rings. Some small dents to the chape only.
Total length 100,5 cm width at the ricasso 2.3 cm.

Very Good++ to Excellent  Dutch M 1820 infantry officers spadroon with Dutch retailers name, pretty hard to find in this condition!.
