Description
Belgian Gendarmerie bayonet frog. Superb brown leather Gendarmerie bayonet frog. Forward swept leather loop fixed by a brass button. Open front with a retaining strap and a steel buckle. These were used with the M1882 Garde Civique bayonets and the M 1916/17 Gendarmerie bayonets. These are also find with the long M 1889 sable bayonet.
Genuine Belgian bayonet frog in a great condition. NOT A COPY.
Early Belgian bayonet frogs are extremely rare and are seldom seen.
