German WWII Wehrmacht Heer officers bayonet knot. (Portopee). Excellent grey leather strap with two alloy wires and intact slide. Excellent silver stam, crown and achorn. Silver core.
This bayonet portopee differs from the sword portopee by dimensions. The strap is more narrow and the achorn is significant smaller. (4,5 cm. )
This type of bayonet/sword knot was called a "Portopee" and was carried by officers and officials on bayonets, during WWI and WWII.
