US M1 Garand rifle. Serial number: B 2746 on crossguard. Excellent -parkerized fullered blade with false edge. No maker markings to the ricasso of the blade. Blade shows user spurs and fine field sharpening only. Excellent parkerized hilt with T slot in pommel. Excellent black plastic ribbed grips secured to the blade tang by one single screw. Crossguard with muzzle ring MRD 15.7 mm and a short straight quillon.
Excellent US type green plastic scabbard with no markings and brass belt hooks.
These Garand bayonets were made in the 50ties by E.F. Hörster-Germany to be used by the Bundeswehr on their M1 rifles donated by the Us for the post-war rearmament project.
