French Lebel M 1886/ M 186/93 rifle. Serial number: D 7089 on the quillon. Excellent+ deep blued cruciform shortened blade with two French inspection markings on the ricaso. Excellent round silver alloy grip, Deep blued pommel: marked J P over 7 and crossguard with round checkered release catch and forward swept quillon.
Excellent shortened blued steel scabbard with closed tip and no dents Serial number: F R 30408 .
These French Lebel bayonets were shortened by the Germans in WWII and carried by German military and police in occipied France.
