Dutch infantry NCO short sword M 1859/ No.3. with scabbard. (JP83-128)

"Nederlands Infanterie Onderofficierssabel M 1859. Korte sabel No. 3." / Dutch Infantry NCO short sword M 1859, No.3.  Excellent curved bright finished plain blade with a few spots of peppering and some stains only. Excellent one piece massive cast brass hilt and crossguard. The ribbed grip has a typical Dutch steel rivet in the center of the grip. Right crossguard is dated: 1826. Crossguard with a forward and a backward swept quillon. 
Excellent shortened M 1819 black tooled leather scabbard with a steel internal chape. All stitches and the leather frog strap are intact
Comes with its genuine and correct red wool NCO sword knot on a black cord.
Total length 61,5  cm. Width at the ricasso: 3,6 cm.

These M 1859 NCO short swords are altered M 1819 No.2 Infantry troopers swords. Blade and knuckle guard were modified in 1859.
