Mauser K98. Rack number: 3090 on the ricasso. Excellent fullered blued blade with German makers makers trade mark: ACS over scales on the ricasso (= Alexander Coppel- Solingen). No date!. Excellent blued pommel and crossguard. Excellent+ flash gard. No German WaA Waffenambt markings on the pommel. Excellent wooden grips, secured to the tang by two screw bolts.
Excellent blued (matching) maker marked steel scabbard:  Coppel GmbH over 1940 (= Alexander Coppel 1940) serial number: 391 over 1. No dents to the scabbard.

Dr. Alexander Coppel, a Jewish industrialist from Solingen, Germany, was persecuted by the Nazi regime, forced to sell his company, ALCOSO, and was deported to the Theresienstadt concentration camp in July 1942.
