Dutch M1895 Artillery carbine bayonet by HEMBRUG with a Cyclist Corps scabbard type. (ABCN1292-2)(K392)(JN 146-2)

Dutch M 1895 Mannlicher Artillery carbine No.3 and No.4, Cal. 6,5 mm. Serial number: 8608 L on the crossguard. Excellent+ long T-shape blued blade with the Dutch makers name: HEMBRUG on the ricasso and a Dutch inspector marking: Crown over Z (= Dutch inspector Wiersma) on the reverse. Bulbous blued pommel with a working T-slot. Pommel is marked: Crown over Z. Crossguard with a muzzle ring . MRD: 14 mm. Excellent wooden grips secured to the blade tang by two large steel rivets. 
Excellent+ dark brown long leather Cyclist corps type scabbard. Internal steel chape fixed by a brass wire winding.
Rare Cyclist corps type of scabbard with its short integrated leather belt frog fixed to the scabbard by 6 copper rivets and allow washers. The retaining strap is removed. Reverse side is numbered: 810. All stitches intact.

The Dutch M 1895 Mannlicher Artillery bayonet was used by the Artillery, the Engineers and the Cyclist corps. They differ in type of scabbard.
The rare integrated leather scabbard frog of the Cyclist corps was much shorter with a higher placed retaining strap. By this example the retaining strap is removed.
